About Clear Assisted Living

Clear Assisted Living exists because finding the real cost of assisted living shouldn't require giving up your phone number.

Most senior care websites are lead-generation businesses. They show you a list of facilities, collect your contact information, and sell it to those facilities as a "referral." The facilities pay thousands of dollars per move-in. You get sales calls.

We don't do that. Clear Assisted Living publishes facility data sourced directly from official state open data portals — the same records regulators use. Cost estimates are based on publicly available survey data from Genworth Financial and the AARP Public Policy Institute, supplemented by crowdsourced submissions from families who have been through the process.

Our Principles

• No email gates: Every piece of data on this site is accessible without creating an account or providing contact information.
• No referral fees: We do not accept payment from facilities for placement, referrals, or featured listings.
• No lead selling: We do not sell, share, or broker your contact information to any third party.
• Government-sourced data: Facility licensing, capacity, and Medicaid waiver status come from official state regulatory databases.
• Transparent methodology: Cost estimates show their sources. We distinguish between government data, survey data, and crowdsourced estimates.

How We Make Money

Clear Assisted Living is currently funded by display advertising and affiliate links to non-facility products (such as long-term care insurance comparison tools). We will always disclose affiliate relationships clearly. We will never accept payment that influences which facilities appear in search results or how they are ranked.

Data Accuracy

We update facility data as frequently as state portals publish new records. Cost estimates are reviewed annually. If you find inaccurate data, please use the link in the footer to report it — we take corrections seriously and will update records promptly.
